16-11-2000 14.00 ut The third weatherforecast of the one and only Jacob Kuiper has been released just minutes ago. And it looks great for big parts of western-Europe on 16/17 and 17/18 ! We gonna make it! Leonids: watch out: here we come!

Succes we have had super clear skies all
night.
We observed from 00.00 UT till 06.00 UT

17-11-2000 15.00 UT Weather has
turned bad.
All mobile Stations are on hold...
We are planning a last minute escape to
gaps in the breaking clouds.
18-11-2000 00.00 UT We are on the move
with 3 cars.
We are targeting on a clear sky in the
north-east of the Netherlands.
18-11-2000 02.00 UT
We are at a location but the clear sky is gone.
The gap in the clouds has filled up,
and it's raining cats and dogs.
18-11-2000 03.00 UT
WE ARE NOT GONNA MAKE IT !
The weather is so bad that no observations
for the Leonids 2000 are possible.
For the first time in 5 years the maximum
will not be recorded by our
DV video and Photo systems.
It is hopeless..........

Finally we reached a clear sky.
During visual observations in twilight
from 06.00 UT till 06.30 UT
we observed an enhanced activity of
bright Leonids.
